What makes Amarti unique?
Amarti at the Heritage Listed Cowwar Buttery Factory was originally built in 1896. It was then redesign in 1917 into a Arts and Crafts style of architecture by Charles I Rice. The Cowwarr Butter Factory manufactured cheese, butter and milk power until 1959 where it then ceased operation and closed for 2 decades. In 1980 Geoff Hines purchased the property and took on the challenge of restoring and renovating the building into a family home and Art Gallery. In 1992 Carolyn Crossley purchased the Butter Factory and continued on the Art Gallery for almost 30 years. In March 2020 the Cowwarr Butter Factory changed ownership to the current owners and underwent extensive renovations for over 2 years to turn the factory into the Amarti Wedding and Events Venue with a Restaurant. You can visit Amarti on Friday's through to Monday from 10:30am.
Throughout the Amarti Venue there are many wonderful and transformable spaces, from the tranquil Gardens where you can host a picture perfect ceremony, to the walled courtyard which is ideal for your cocktail hour. For your reception how about the historic Hall? Amarti can accommodate up to 130 seated or 160 cocktail style in the Main Hall. With it's soaring ceilings and rustic charm this space also encompasses all of the romance and elegance making this the perfect area for celebration.
When choosing Amarti, you gain full access to the location for the entire day. Bring your bridal party for the morning of glam and be treated with house made croissants, fresh fruit and hot coffee - or maybe a champers to settle the nerves? All served in the most beautiful Bridal Suite. Once ready take your group pictures on the Balcony overlooking the Gardens, from here you truly understand how exquisite this place is when looking from the Balcony.
